Thanks to the voters electing me in June of 2012, I am now nearing the end of my first term as your state legislator. I would like to continue serving so I am announcing my re-election campaign as a Republican for District 24, which includes Hughes, Hyde, Stanley and Sully counties.
It has been a privilege to represent District 24 in the House of Representatives. I have been an advocate for state employee issues, agriculture, and education and I am pleased that the 2014 Legislature found extra dollars for local schools, as well as money to increase state employee salaries and Medicaid provider reimbursements — all without raising taxes. I would like to continue working to make sure South Dakota is a great place to live, to raise a family, and to run a business.
I believe an effective legislator is willing to listen, do the necessary research to understand the issues, and find ways to develop consensus with others. It has been my goal to be that legislator and with your support I will do my best to be an effective voice for District 24.
